Annadanam
Annadanam (giving free meals) is done at Sabarimala Sannidhanam.
Lord Ayyappa at Sabarimala Temple is known as 'Annadana Prabhu'
and hence free distribution of food to devotees is considered Ayyappa
Seva.
The
Travancore Devaswom Board took up the noble venture of Annadanam
Service Scheme at Sabarimala Sannidhanam from the Mandala Pooja
- Makaravilakku Festival season in 2002 - 03 onwards, for the benefit
of the Ayyappa devotees. Devotees can liberally contribute in cash
and in kind to this scheme.
Note: The Travancore Devaswom Board(TDB)
has not entrusted any individual or any private organisation to
collect donations or to send vazhipadu prasadam on behalf of the
Board or Sabarimala devaswom.
